Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie
peanut-butter

For a quick and delicious meal or snack after your lap band surgery, try a peanut butter and banana smoothie. When your bananas are getting brown, don’t throw them out. Instead, peel and slice them and put the slices in a resealable bag or container in the freezer to use for smoothies. Pairing the banana with peanut butter adds extra protein and flavor.

  • 2 frozen sliced bananas
  • 1 5.3 oz container of banana flavored greek yogurt
  • ⅓ cup smooth peanut butter
  • ½ cup nonfat milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of cinnamon

Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. If the mixture needs a little thinning, you can add a small amount of crushed ice and blend or pulse until smooth. Pour your serving and enjoy! Any extra smoothie can easily be put into popsicle molds or small paper cups and frozen to be enjoyed later as a popsicle or frozen treat.
